Change Leadership Sessions (For Mid-Level Management)

 

Kotter International conducts 1 to 2-day educational sessions for middle managers and team leaders. These sessions are designed to help participants understand how to build a new culture of change leadership at the team level. These sessions reflect the manager’s perspective and challenge of responding to change directives from above, as well as communicating change within the organizational hierarchy.

 

This educational experience covers the full 8-Step Process for Leading Change and its practical application from both an individual and organizational perspective. Managers learn how to guide change in a practical and relevant way that helps their team contribute to the change in ways that connect with both the head and heart. With this initial educational session, managers will gain the ability to understand and begin to apply the 8-Step Process at the team level.

 

This program helps managers understand how to raise urgency around a “Big Opportunity” that fits within their organization’s broader goals. They will also understand how defining that window of opportunity available to their team can help create dramatic changes. Finally, these sessions give organizational leaders the ability to understand and begin to apply the 8-Step Process in ways that will help them guide their teams through successful and sustainable change.

 

Applied Learning Options

 

As part of their participation in the program, participants will receive a workbook that serves as a personal action-planning guide related to a change a team is trying to make.  Individuals will leave the formal education session with a personal game plan that they can review with their managers. 

 

After the live education session, Kotter International offers a series of “virtual live” sessions with smaller cohorts of 12 managers. These sessions reinforce the learning that took place in the Awareness phase, and provide opportunities for managers to interact and understand more deeply how to apply the 8-Step Process for Leading Change.

 

Facilitator Training

 

As part of this phase, Kotter International also develops and delivers custom-tailored facilitator training and educational kits that client facilitators or managers can use to understand more deeply how to deliver the principles, methodologies and tools behind the 8-Step Process to their teams.  The facilitator kits include all the materials, workbooks, tips and techniques required to deliver the course.
