Dennis Goin

For the past twenty-two years Dennis has worked with a variety of financial, health, manufacturing, maintenance, retail and service organizations, developing teams, facilitating strategic plans and helping people lead change.

His passion for this work was triggered with his involvement in putting together 72 high performance work teams at a 7,000-team member AT&T installation that was the first North American manufacturing site to win the prestigious Deming Quality.

Dennis was directly involved in the merger process between Boeing Defense and Space and McDonnell Douglas where he was invited to put together strategic executive teams.

In addition, Dennis spent time developing and implementing a strategic plan with Gaylord Entertainment that merged 32 diverse entertainment, hospitality and recreational businesses into a well-run family value organization over a three year period.

For two years he helped two Texas healthcare systems with 27 hospitals merge into the Christus Healthcare.

With Hallmark Cards, he facilitated a supply chain management strategy for their Global Procurement Organization.

Prior to his work helping organizations implement their strategies, Dennis spent sixteen years in public education which culminated in a position as a high school principal in the largest high school in Washington state. He has completed his advanced degree work in organizational psychology and school administration

His published work includes being the producer and writer for Edge Learning Institute’s, Increasing Human Effectiveness, Learning to Manage Change and Effective Teaming video assisted curriculum, and the curriculum texts, A Return on Relationships and Using Strategic Planning to Lead Change, A Breakdown of the Strategic Planning/Guiding Coalition Process.

Dennis is an Advisor Emeritus for Kotter International. He has three children and resides in Gig Harbor, WA with his wife.
