Adam brings more than 15 years of experience in business, academia, and government to Kotter International. After working for five years as a legislative aide for both a Senator and a Congressman, he left government to pursue his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
After graduation, he worked for a boutique strategy consulting firm leading change projects for multinational corporations, educational institutions and governments. During this time, he also led research projects into the effects of new technologies on organizations and their people, as well as the unique qualities of Japanese business. This work culminated in the publishing of the books “Got Game: How the Gamer Generation is Reshaping Business Forever” (2004, Harvard Business School Press) and “Japan’s Business Renaissance: How the World’s Greatest Economy Revived, Renewed and Reinvented Itself” (2005, McGraw Hill).
Adam then moved to Japan, where he became the first permanent non-Japanese faculty member at one of Japan’s largest MBA programs, Globis University, in Tokyo. He helped lead the creation, design, and delivery of both MBA and executive education courses for the school, as well as the launch of their International MBA program in 2009.
Adam now lives in the Seattle area with his wife, son, and daughter
